The Story of US Language School
The Academic Roots
Long before US Language School became a reality, education was already the driving force in the life of our founder, Hernan L. Sarmiento. From 2009 to 2020, Hernan dedicated his career to academia, serving as a passionate professor and educator across various universities and prestigious institutions in Colombia. During those eleven years of teaching, a profound dream began to take root: the vision of creating a unique language academy designed to break down global barriers and build meaningful cultural connections.
An International Perspective
Hernan’s own "next chapter" took a defining turn when he arrived in the United States as an international student. He lived the exact same challenges, doubts, and cultural adjustments that our students face today. Through resilience and unwavering dedication, he achieved permanent residency and later answered the call to serve his community and country by joining the Utah National Guard.

A Dream Realized
After years of preparing others for success, Hernan knew it was time to take the definitive step toward his lifelong goal. In 2025, he officially founded US Language School, turning language barriers into bridges for academic, military, and professional advancement. Today, we don't just teach languages or prepare students for official certifications like the TOEFL or ASVAB; we provide the linguistic precision, cultural fluency, and confidence required to help global learners write their own success stories.
